What To Do When You Don't Know Who You Are Anymore
Time, experience and pain can serve to change a person deeply, often quickly and for some, foundational.
If you ever wake up, look in the mirror and realize you don’t recognize the reflection in front of you, take heart. Whatever caused the change, good or bad, is in the past. This is a brand new day, an opportunity for a fresh start. A chance for you to get to know yourself, for you to make a choice about who you want to be.
Don’t be afraid. Sometimes it is in the losing of yourself that you find out who you really are. Leave the past behind you. It may shape you but it does not make you. Press forward into the newness of today and all it’s opportunity.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
