Safe Pray Practice Guide for Pastors and Prayer Teams

This week I am attending a revival event to pray against abuse, racism, and discrimination. Part of the revival will allow an opportunity for people to come to the front of the room and receive prayer. I have been tasked to educate the prayer team ahead of time on consent and trauma-informed prayer practices.

In addition to a short talk I'll be giving to the team and the presence of trained victim advocates who will be available if someone discloses abuse, I've also created a "Safe Prayer Practices Guide".

This guide can be used in personal one-on-one prayer, to educate pastors and prayer teams, or just to have on hand for anyone in ministry. Prayer is a powerful spiritual tool but as with all things safety and consent it a priority.
