Marriage Is Like Dancing

Marriage is like dancing.

Sometimes it's a traditional step and you waltz with a classic lead and follow.

Sometimes it's like break dancing, both of you dancing to the same song, doing your own thing but keeping in sync with each other’s beat.

Other times it's a slow dance where you're not listening to the music at all and no one is really thinking about the steps.  You just want to be close to each other.

And occasionally it's a dance off, both of you insisting you have the better move but in the end realizing you both have a lot to bring to the floor and its more fun to dance with each other than against.

Marriage isn't just one dance. It's a whole playlist of varied songs and beats.  Some times you’ve got to change your steps to keep up. Sometimes you miss a beat or step on some one’s toes.  Sometimes one of you back leads when it would have been better to follow.

In the end it takes two, mutual effort, submission and communication to make it flow. And the best part is the longer you dance together the more beautiful it becomes.
